TekTone has recently received notification from Inovonics, a strategic partner for our Tek-CARE500 system, that RockHill Solutions has begun marketing a pendant of their own design which they claim is compatible with Echostream-based wireless nurse call systems such as TekTone’s Tek-CARE500 wireless nurse call system. 

Neither TekTone nor Inovonics have a business relationship with RockHill Solutions, and the Rock-Hill Solutions pendant was developed without the cooperation of Inovonics. As such, neither TekTone nor Inovonics can provide support or warranty service for Tek-CARE500 systems that include devices manufactured by RockHill Solutions. 

Patient safety and reliability of the Tek-CARE platform of nurse call systems is of the utmost importance to TekTone, and we have carefully chosen experienced industry partners such as Inovonics to expand the capabilities of the Tek-CARE platform. 

The addition of any unauthorized third-party hardware to Tek-CARE systems may adversely affect the reliability and safety of the system as a whole. Both TekTone and Inovonics will disclaim all liability that could result from the use of third-party devices such as RockHill. To ensure system safety, reliability, and compatibility, only use TekTone authorized devices with the Tek-CARE500 system.
