Franklin, NC— June 13, 2012 —Congratulations to Franklin’s Angel Medical Center! AMC is highlighted in Business North Carolina magazine for ranking #1 in patient satisfaction. Conducted by the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems, the survey asked if patients who stayed overnight or longer would recommend the hospital to family and friends. Considerations included outcomes, pain control, hospital noise and cleanliness, how quickly nurses responded, whether surgeons explained procedures and whether patients received good instructions when discharged.

Martin Wadewitz, CEO of Angel Medical Center, commented, “Our hospital has been fortunate to make investments in tools such as our TekTone® nurse call system that make a positive impact on our nurses’ abilities to provide greater focus on our patients, allowing our facility to be ranked number one in patient satisfaction in NC.”

TekTone®’s President, Carlos Mira, said, “Consideration for this impressive achievement included how quickly nurses respond to patients’ needs, and I am proud that TekTone® was a part of AMC’s accomplishment.”

AMC tied with Duke University Hospital and UNC Hospitals for the top spot. AMC, Duke and UNC each received a rating of 83%, well above the North Carolina average of 71%.
