On April 19, 2012, the Macon County Economic Development Commission (EDC) ended BizWeek 2012 with a banquet at Holly Springs Baptist Church. BizWeek was a week-long program designed to highlight Macon

County’s major businesses and employers, focusing primarily on industrial companies.

TekTone®was among seven companies honored at the banquet for their continued growth and investment in the Macon County community. By giving steady employment to 70 people, and continuously contributing to Macon County’s future, TekTone® has proven that it is an important factor in the economic development of Franklin and Western North Carolina. Other honorees included Caterpillar, Duotech Services, Drake Software, Shaw Industries-Hardwood Division, Whitley Products and SKF-Franklin.

The awards were presented by EDC director Tommy Jenkins, with the help of the keynote speaker, North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Keith Crisco.
